Joanna Finnis

Add textHello WCS members! My name is Joanna Finnis and I’m extremely excited to join the WCS team in this new role! As a member I have personally utilized the many opportunities WCS offers songwriters. My songwriting journey follows a similar path to most songwriters. I started writing on a 4-track at thirteen and have continued over the years at varying levels of commitment and intensity. I have been a lead singer with several bands and have co-written on multiple albums. I created and ran a children’s singing school that nurtured confidence through singing and I also volunteered as a children’s choir director for nine years. All these positions have opened many doors to fun opportunities and experiences. Currently, I self-release my songs as a solo artist experimenting with different styles. I continue to better my craft, learn about the music industry and collaborate with a variety of musicians on various songwriting projects. I’m eager to share the amazing resources of WCS, my own personal music experiences and provide support to those who feel the same passion for this art as I do. Keep writing!
Joanna
