The Palo Alto chapter is the only chapter that charges WCS members to perform. But there is a good reason! We need to cover the costs for the use of the studio and incidental expenses. This competition is unique. The program is recorded by the Media Center volunteer studio crew and is shown through local access TV. An electronic file of the evening is available to all paid performers. The charge is $15 for members and $25 for non-members to participate. Audience is free. Only members can win. You can renew online, or join at the event to take advantage of the discount.

The podcast is a mixture of lively conversation and song that has featured guests like Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, Steve Earle, Chris Robinson (Black Crowes), Jonathan Richman, Jello Biafra, Dave Eggers and many, many more.
