Reto Peter is a Grammy® and TEC Award-winning Music Production Specialist with
extensive experience in music production, audio engineering, mixing, composition, and
teaching. He is credited with songs with over 9 billion streams and 15 million records sold, and
he is a co-writer of over 400 songs featured on platforms like MTV, VH1, UFC, BRAVO, and
HGTV. Reto was born and raised in Switzerland and after earning a BA Degree from Berklee
College of Music in Boston, he started his journey in the record business at the legendary
Magic Shop Studio in NYC, where he cut his teeth before making his mark in the Bay Area,
working with luminaries like Green Day, The Counting Crows, and Modest Mouse.
In addition to his production work, Reto has been a long-time educator, having taught at various
arts schools and led the Audio Production Department at the California Jazz Conservatory in
Berkeley. Reto is also passionate about serving the local audio community, acting as a mentor
and community builder, and currently serves as National Trustee of the Recording Academy.
