Songwriter turned founder of On The Savvy, an audience development company for performing artists. Jesse has spent 17+ years in music, from performing more than 600 shows to working behind the scenes in music publicity.
His work has included projects connected to André 3000, Rolling Stone, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and CD Baby, with recent clients including Alaska Thunderfuck and Woodshed Guitar Experience.
That experience gave Jesse a close look at a problem artists face all the time: they work hard to earn attention, but too little of it turns into people who come back, care about more of the music, and buy tickets.
Today, On The Savvy works with artist managers and labels to help performing artists turn that attention into a lasting audience. Recent work includes $337K+ in client revenue, 12M+ listeners reached, and 12K+ email subscribers.
Their Evergreen Engine keeps developing audiences during and between releases, helping more listeners come back, join the fan list, and build stronger ticket demand.
Jesse still writes and performs as Spring Owls.
When he’s not working with artists, he’s usually at a concert, in a hot yoga class, chasing some waterfall, or scribbling at a café.
