Multi-platinum songwriter and produce
Heather Holley is a multi-platinum songwriter and producer known for her pivotal role in launching Christina Aguilera’s career. She and Rob Hoffman wrote and produced the demo that led to Christina signing with RCA. The demo included Heather’s song “Obvious,” which appeared on Christina’s debut album which debuted at #1 on Billboard, sold over 14 million copies worldwide and earned Christina a Grammy for Best New Artist. In 2024, a new live version of “Obvious” was released on The 25th Anniversary of Christina Aguilera EP. The accompanying Spotify Anniversaries video featured Heather performing “Obvious” with Christina.
Heather contributed several tracks for Christina’s second album, Stripped—including “Soar,” “Stripped Intro,” “Stripped Pt. 2” and “I Will Be,” which was recently released on the Stripped 20th Anniversary Edition. Christina’s 3rd album Back to Basics, included “Here to Stay,” which was used in a Pepsi campaign. Christina’s “Hello: Follow Your Own Star,” was commissioned for a Mercedes campaign and became a Top 10 radio hit in Germany.
Heather’s songs have placements in over 85 television shows, including Grey’s Anatomy, Shark Tank, The Twilight Zone, American Idol, Charmed, Dynasty, The Voice, So You Think You Can Dance, The Office, and Ugly Betty. Her work has been featured in the films The Pursuit of Happyness, Rize and Honey, and in ad campaigns for Mercedes, Microsoft, Pepsi, Skechers, Virgin Mobile and Kosas Cosmetics. Her song “Hero” was performed on NBC’s Songland and was co-writtenwith Ryan Tedder, Esther Dean, and Shane McAnally. “We All Need a Hero” was performed by humanitarian group Le Petit Cirque at the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize Concert.
Heather’s work with Christina sparked a passion for artist development. She is based in Los Angeles and works out of her Beachwood Canyon recording studio where she continues to discover, develop and produce artists and write for film and TV.
