Five for Fighting - John Ondrasik coming to the WCS Music Conference

We are thrilled to announce that John Ondrasik, known as the one man show Five for Fighting, has confirmed his guest appearance at the 37th Annual West Coast Songwriters Music Conference in San Francisco. Ondrasik rose to fame in 2001 with his hit song “Superman (It’s Not Easy)” which became the healing anthem after the September 11 attacks. Ondrasik went on to perform the song at The Concert for New York City honoring and supporting the victims and first responders of the attacks. His album's first single, "Easy Tonight", became a number one Triple A song and consistent album sales eventually led to it being certified Platinum.

Ondrasik will join our industry guest list at the conference, held in San Francisco from September 8 -10th . There will be an intimate conversation allowing him to share stories of how his career got started and how he wrote his biggest hits. He will also perform at our Annual Sunset Concert for those attending the conference.

His third album, The Battle for Everything, debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart in February 2004. It included the single "100 Years", which reached number one on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart and stayed at number one for 12 non-consecutive weeks. His numerous top hits have cemented Ondrasik as one of the decade's leading balladeers.

Ondrasik has sold over 2.5 million albums, two reaching Platinum Status; America Town and The Battle for Everything. He continues to write and perform including performing as part of the famed Lincoln Center Series, American Songbook, in February of 2017.
