We pledge to challenge and respond to bias, harassment, and discrimination. We are bound to a policy of equal opportunity for all persons and do not discriminate on the basis of race or ethnicity; gender, gender identity or gender expression; sexual orientation, socioeconomic status language, culture, national origin, religious commitments, age, persons with disabilities or political perspectives.
INCLUSION:
We commit to pursuing deliberate efforts in our programming, partnerships, recruitment and support of new members, industry professionals as advisors, speakers, and mentors; pricing, physical venues, fundraising, and employment, to ensure that our songwriters association and related networks are places (in person and virtual) where differences are welcomed, different perspectives are encouraged and where every individual feels a sense of belonging and inclusion.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
We will measure our progress on both a quarterly and annual basis, by considering the results of our efforts when considering the composition of our membership and participants, programming, mentors, leadership, advisors, physical venues (when relevant), and feedback from stakeholders.
