And the Good News is...

The “Sex & the City” Movie includes a song by WCS writers! “Two at a Time”, penned by Joel Evans & J.Elle, placement by Marc Ferrari/MasterSource.
Jennifer Adan has a cut with Blake Shelton and it’s going to be released as his first single on the radio. The song “She Wouldn’t Be Gone” was co-written with Cory Batten. It will be released in the next month or two! It’s also going to be released as a ringtone.

Four years ago Sara Bareilles sent in two songs for our International Song Contest. One of the songs, "Gravity", garnered 1st place. Sara performed at the Sunset Concert that year and is also on our Compilation CD. She was honored at the ASCAP Pop Awards and has a current smash hit, "Love Song".

WCS member Candy Cameron co-wrote Chris Cagle's single "What Kinda Gone" which reached #3 on the singles chart. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Chart and #8 all genres (without a video!) . . .

WCS Songwriters Conference 2008 - September 12-14

Registration for Conference 2008 is now OPEN. This year's guests include Gretchen Peters, Derek Sivers, Jenny Gill, Debbie Zavitson, Elliot Cahn, Antoinette Olesen, Steve McClintock, Michael Winger, Larry Batiste, Leslie Ann Jones, Claytoven, Nick Phillips, Michael Aczon, Ned Hearn, James Leach, Brooke Wentz, Destiny, Eric Chun, Tom Luce and many other music luminaries you can connect with! The difference between our Conference and many others is that it's UP CLOSE and PERSONAL.

Hit Songwriter and touring artist Gretchen Peters (Above left), Hit Songwriter Steve McClintock (center), and Derek Sivers founder of CDbaby/Hostbaby, will be a guests at this year's Conference.

Brian Rawlings, Jim Bruno are also guests.
